Goodbye friend…

Christopher Lawrence Ayotte…

Born February 10th, 1977.

Chris passed away October 24th, 2020.

Chris was 43 years old.

Gone too soon. So many questions. My first experience losing someone I have known nearly half of my life.

The parties, road trips, basketball games, football games, strip clubs, golf outings, singing, dancing, late night guy talk over a bon fire… The memories…

Chris had a huge heart and was a shining soul. Chris found the most comfort around his closest friends. In particular; Jeremy, Shane, and Lee.

The four of us loved Chris like a brother. The first of us to go. Too soon. Why? What could have been done? All the future questions to come…

Now, we will see 1st hand what it is like… To bury a good friend, to see his parents bury their only child, to see the ones who loved Chris the most cry with zero thought of judgment from those around us…

Chris, like most everyone, just wanted to fit in. Chris fit in with us. All the way. Full throttle. Balls out. All the cliche guy stuff! Party!!!

Chris couldn’t turn off the party. His demons ran very deep. Countless conversations and ultimatums fell to a deaf ear.

Chris did what the 4 of us discussed doing for years… Going out blazing! Ride it til the wheels fall off! It’s better to burn out than fade away!

Now we are left with sadness, questions and future lesson learned about the ripple effect of losing a close friend.

Goodbye Chris. You were loved. You will be missed.

Thank you for reading. I will try to write again soon. 2020 has been a hell of a year!
